
Following last night’s extraordinary event at The Poetry Project (more on that to come) Centennial events in New York continue with a gathering tonight at Howl Archive (HA/HA) (250 Bowery, 2nd floor) – Allen Ginsberg at 100 – A Brief Walk Through Ginsberg’s Life –
a four-part symposium – featuring Bob Rosenthal, Bill Morgan, Gordon Ball, Deborah Baker & Bob Holman,

Allen in India – Deborah Baker and Bob Holman will discuss “Allen’s near mythical 18 months in India”


Bob Rosenthal, Allen’s long time personal secretary, will be reading from new work, his essay on his understanding of Allen’s unique “Theory of Idiots”.

Bill Morgan, Allen’s biographer and bibliographer, will present a slide-show – Allen Ginsberg – “The Unknown Photos” – of new unseen photographs

and Gordon Ball, Allen’s friend and early journals editor, will share a slideshow of his own photos of Allen – “Allen As I Knew Him”, a preview of/spotlight on his recently-published collection, Ginsberg and Beat Fellows
