There will be a major gathering at The Poetry Project, New York City on June 3rd, on Allen’s birthday
The organizers of the event are Peter Hale and Eliot Katz (the Ginsberg Estate in conjunction with the St Marks Poetry Project)
Emcees for the evening will be Bob Rosenthal and Eliot Katz
“The event will feature poets and musicians who worked with Allen, as well as younger poets and musicians who have been influenced by Allen’s work.” Among those so far scheduled, Ed Sanders, Anne Waldman, Steven Taylor, David Amram, Bob Rosenthal, Eliot Katz, Simon Pettet, Anselm Berrigan, Sharon Mesmer, Pamela Sneed, Zoe Brezsny, Sol Cabrini, Jenni Muldaur – & others.
