Jack Kerouacs Birthday today, born Jean-Louis Lebris de Kérouac in Lowell, Massachusetts, March 12, 1922.  Saint Jack!

Here are a few of our past birthday celebrations:  (starting way back in 2010), 2012 (a little picture portfolio), 2013 (the iconic 1942 Naval Reserve shot), 2014 (a hand-drawn map of On The Road), 2015 (1958, Kerouac in Orlando), 2016 (A “Kerouac Weekend”), 2017 (a full photo portfolio), 2018 (Kerouac on the fire escape), 2019 (the Letters) 2020 (Kerouac reading), 2021 (Jack on the Ginsberg Project), 2022 (“Centennial Weekend”), 2023 (Eternal Jack), 2024 (More Eternal Jack), 2025 (Jack and Jazz)

Featuring today these extraordinary never-previously-seen Kerouac drawings. 1944 – (that would’ve made him a mere 22!) – What a delicate hand with a pencil!  What an already-formed deep understanding of the human being and the human traveler! What a soul!

Happy Birthday, Jack!
