We remember him today via a memorial event that took place ten years ago in New York City, at Poets House, an event that celebrated not only his birth and achievement but the publication of The Essential Allen Ginsberg.
Introduced by Bob Rosenthal, the evening featured performances and readings by Rosenthal, the book’s editor, Michael Schumacher, Eliot Katz, Steven Taylor, Lee Ann Brown, Anne Waldman, Eileen Myles, Sharon Mesmer, Dawn Lundy Martin, Ryan Doyle May, Amy Lawless and Uche Nduka
