Allen Ginsberg & Jack Kerouac 1969 CBC French Interviews

Some years back (well, actually, way back in 2011), we had a post headed “Allen Parle En Francais” which noted the apparent ease with which Allen spoke French (alongside footage of Kerouac speaking French ,with, just for the fun of it, a little snippet thrown in of Gregory Corso speaking Italian)

Today, courtesy of  the Radio-Canada Archives, a further, more expansive, piece, footage from CBC (Canadian television), Wilfrid Lemoine interviews Allen Ginsberg.
The program aired on the evening of the 30th of November, 1969.

The day before, they’d aired a similarly open-ended, charmingly candid, interview with Jack Kerouac. The interviewer in that instance was Pierre Nadeau.
