William Blake’s Birthday

William Blake’s birthday today and that now signals a new issue of VALA, the annual journal published on this day, in London by the Blake Society. This will be issue number four. Each issue of the magazine is loosely built around a specific subject. For issue one, the theme was “Children and Lockdown”, issue two focused on concepts of “Gender and (Invisible) Female Bodies”, three, “Blake and Nature”. Issue four will has the all-too-pertinent theme of “War and Peace” – Join the Blake Society for an on-line launch tomorrow – see here

Allen Ginsberg and Blake on The Allen Ginsberg Project?… well, where to begin? (there’s plenty!)
