The announcement of the forthcoming, Jack Kerouac – Lonesome Traveller in London – 1957 by Tim Chamberlain, the latest, number 79, in Kevin Ring and Beat Scene‘s extraordinary and long-running series of Beat chapbooks, seems as good occasion as any to sing the praises of this remarkable, committed and spirited on-going endeavor.
The magazine, first published in 1988, continues and remains an absolute invaluable resource, (see above for a reproduction of the cover of the latest issue). It has reached the enviable and estimable run of (so far) 107 issues, and, full speed ahead, for 108.
Promised for the next issue, articles on Joanne Kyger, John Clellon Holmes, Charles Olson, Philip Lamantia, John Wieners, and much more besides.

Regarding these mostly-out-of-print, get-them-while-you-can chapbooks, Ring writes:
“Taking my lead from a number of small press publishing inspirations, (things like Yugen, and the Totem Press poetry books et al) these 5 x 8 inch chapbooks are always published in editions of no more than 150 copies”
Here’s a few more (a random gathering) of previously-published titles in the series:
