Anne Waldman‘s birthday today,  78. (revolutions per minute!)

wishing her all the best for the day,  a very happy birthday!

Her remarkable latest book, Bard Kinetic, a book of memoirs and observations, is available from Coffee House Press

Check out excerpts from the book – here  (and here and here)

She read from it this past week (along with Latasha N.Nevada Diggs) at the St Mark’s Poetry Project – see here

and earlier this year (alongside Latasha N. Nevada Diggs and Eleni Sikelianos) for City Lights
(Check out “5 Questions with Anne Waldman” (from City Lights) – here)

Here she is (introduced by Eleni Sikelianos & others), in December 2022, giving the prestigious T.S.Eliot reading at Harvard’s Woodberry Poetry Room – “This Eliot Memorial reading honors poet, performer, cultural activist and literary life-force Anne Waldman”

So many other projects (we can’t keep up!).  We might note, in particular, her libretto for an opera,  Black Lodge, (a collaboration with David T. Little – story & screenplay by Michael Joseph McQuilken)

Here’s four Anne Waldman videos, in celebration:
