Friday’s Weekly Round-Up – 568

The  annual Naropa Summer Writing Program began last week with the theme this year “Sanctuary and Apocalypse” – A three-week program, it kicked off on Sunday with sessions under the general heading “Oracles + Cyborgs” (Brenda Coultas and Margaret Randall, among the teachers). Beginning next week – “Now Time & The Coming Community” (with Cedar SigoAnne Waldman, & others) – and concluding (June 23-July 2nd) – “Insurrectionary Forms and Radical Lineages” (Anaïs Duplan, Rocío Cerón..  For a full list of each sessions’ teachers/participants, check out the Naropa site – here)

An early heads-up for Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion’s annual “100 Thousand Poets For Change”  – September 24th is the next Global Event Day. Poets and organizers are encouraged to contact the organization regarding their own projected events.  More on 100TPC closer to the date.
