Following his regional success on the Sun Records label, Elvis Presley was signed to RCA Records on November 20, 1955.

His first recording for them, “Heartbreak Hotel” was recorded and released in January the following year

Elvis Aaron Presley died on this day (1977) at Graceland, Memphis, Tennessee.
