Those of you familiar with The Allen Ginsberg Project will know that the kousa dogwood is a regular feature here – our annual up-date – the kousa dogwood, planted in the grounds of the St Mark’s Church-In-The-Bowery in the East Village in New York in honor of Allen and usually flowering with pretty perky delicate white flowers around this time. Strange to say not too many flowers on display this year (can it be a sign?) but the tree itself looks healthy and strong. Just in time for Allen’s birthday!
