Friday’s Weekly Round-Up – 437

The 100th anniversary of Surrealism.  City Lights in San Francisco have, along with other distinguished West Coast partners,  inaugerated a two-week celebration. [2020 update – regrettably these links are no longer available] The event kicked off this past Tuesday with a gathering at City Lights on “The Literary Roots of Surrealism” and, last night, this was followed up by a special panel on “The Beats & Surrealism”, with special attention to Philip Lamantia and Bob Kaufman.
